East By Ganges: Kolkata & The Southern Parts Of Bengal

Once happened to be the second most important city of the British Empire after London, this city still oozes the Raj day charms, but never loses her cerebral identity. East By Himalayas: Sikkim, Darjeeling Hills, And The Wilderness of Dooars

East By North East: The Seven Sisters States

If magic still belongs to the earth, that is in the north east of India, indeed! A land you cannot fathom on your android phone because that is too small to capture the splendor. India’s North East – the name is synonymous with the contiguous seven sister states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland & Tripura. These states cover an area of 255,511 square kilometers (98,653 sq mi) or about seven percent of India’s total geographical area. The region shares more than 4,500 kilometers (2,800 mi) of International border with China (Southern Tibet) in the north, Myanmar in the east, Bangladesh in the south-west & Bhutan to the north-west. The northeastern part of India is interspersed with valleys & hilly terrain & offering such imposing & stunning views that are breathtaking & beyond words.

Start from Assam, the domain of tea and tuskers, get lost in the caves and on the living roots bridge in Meghalaya, tap with the tribal dance steps at Nagaland, flow as the river streams meander in Arunachal Pradesh – but stop nowhere before exploring the Jewel of India – Manipur.
